Are you ready for your advenTure?
Meet at Adventure Kayaking headquarters at 07h00. Pack belongings in vehicle. Leave for take-off point at 07h30.
Pack boats with personal belongings and cooler boxes. On river by latest 09h00. Stop for lunch and a fun swim at 12h00. Arrive to be picked up by driver at 14h30. Half an hour drive back HQ.
Price: Un-catered - R450 per person
Catered - R550 per person

Committed to making memories
The 1-day river paddle we had booked with Adventure Kayaking months before for 29 January 2021 was cancelled a few days before it was scheduled due to the VDK dam overflowing and the river condition downstream being too dangerous for rookies. It was meant to be the final activity of our two week road trip celebrating our second wedding anniversary. Our disappointing moment when we were told on route to VDK turned to complete joy when we arrived at Adventure Kayaking and Lorna advised us that she had changed the itinerary to paddle a beautiful route on the dam from the town to two secluded spots for breakfast and then lunch, perfectly prepared and packed for us.
Fish Eagles, antelope, various water birds, sheer rock faces and a sandy beach were all part of the scenery. The leisurely pace set by Lorna and Steve for us inexperienced 50-something teenagers was perfect. Thank you to Adventure Kayaking for a special memory.
